Cheltenham 14/12/07

Morning folks.....Just about calmed down after last Sunday and Ramonti's win, well done to anyone who invested.

Had a hellish week at work, just going to crack this out then head to the pub.

Back to the jumps today and Cheltenham. Four races I'll focus on today.

13.20 - 3 mile 1 chase...it's a handicap and there's some horses that are not going to like what they've been given.

Can't really come up with an out and out winner from the stats.....two that tick all boxes for though. One is the ever popular Monkerhostin and the other is Cornish Set (who gets the most ticks)

13.55 - This cross country marathon is a funny one, a classy grand national is the only way I could describe it. Not much interest here but Royal Auclair stands out so he gets the nod.

14.30 - Ring the Boss is the form horse, ground might be against him but he's the best horse in this race....will be favourite though so I'm going to lay Jack the Giant (bet on it to lose)

15.05 - The Pretemps Hurdle, an interesting race for me as my own horse is a stable mate of last year's winner Material World. I'll got for Leading Contender in this one to win, course form is paramount at Cheltenham and this is what sways it for me.

To conclude -

13.20 - Monkerhostin e/w €20 @ 3.85

Cornish Set e/w €20 @ 3.9

13.55 - Royal Auclair e/w €20 @ 2.94

14.30 - Jack the Giant LAY €30 @ 1.67

15.05 - Leading Contender €30 win @ 1.97

Be back on tomorrow....Good luck folks.

JB
